Andrew Maiden is an executive experienced in public policy, advocacy and communications.
After completing degrees in law and economics Andrew served as policy adviser, press secretary and chief-of-staff to senior Australian political figures including the federal Minister for Finance.
In 2000 he joined Australia’s largest telecom and media company, Telstra, ultimately heading group communications for the ASX top 10 company. He oversaw public affairs, media relations, employee communications, corporate social responsibility and reputation, leading 100 team members across Australia and Asia.
In 2013 Andrew joined the broadcasting sector as chief executive of ASTRA, the peak body representing subscription television platforms and channel providers, working closely with the CEOs of media companies, senior political figures, regulators and the media.
Andrew now consults to company CEOs, chairs and senior executives on political, regulatory and reputation issues. He has worked in multiple sectors including finance, professional services, healthcare, aviation and the arts.
Andrew is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has worked with boards as adviser, non-executive director or chief executive.
